A little bit about me outside of my experiences and education...
I was born and raised in Fairfax, Virginia. In elementary school I developed passions for the subjects of history and government, along with math. These areas of interest have stuck with me and led me to choose Global Security & Justice and Computer Science as my majors at UVA. I am currently in the process of writing my Global Security and Justice Capstone on the status of the international community’s preparedness for the growing cyber threat. I am so excited and thankful that my time at UVA has led me to find and explore such a unique intersection of these two different fields of study.
Since I was five years old, dance has been an extremely important part of my life. From ballet, to hip-hop, to contemporary, I have tried various styles of dance during my time in competition dance and my high school's dance team. Now, after serving as the Engagement Chair and Vice President, I am the President of the University Dance Club at UVA. I am so grateful for this club that has allowed me to find a dance community on grounds where I can continue my passion and grow as a leader!
Outside of dancing, I have developed a lot of hobbies to fill the free time I find in my schedule. Swimming, hiking, or doing anything that involves the outdoors are typically ways I enjoy spending my weekends. I also spend a lot of time going to concerts to listen to my favorite music and discover new bands and artists. Lastly, I love trying new vegetarian eats and sharing dishes and recipes with friends and family.
